Visualizing COVID-19 Awareness for the University of Utah
This original illustration project, created for the University of Utah, highlights simple everyday actions people took during the COVID-19 pandemic. Designed to balance the gravity of the crisis, the artwork employs an uplifting and positive style, aiming to both inform and elevate the viewer's mood.
Part 1: Illustrating statistics
The initial phase of this project involved designing a series of three large-scale posters illustrating COVID-19 statistics, which were subsequently displayed across the campus.
Part 2: Illustrating public message
A few months later, the statistics posters were repurposed as general public service announcements. By then, masking was being encouraged, so both the person and the dog in the third poster were depicted wearing masks. The illustrations were also adapted to a letter-size format for easier distribution.
