CASE STUDY: Interdisciplinarity & Creativity

2012

This infographic is a supporting visual component to a written MDes thesis titled "Using an Interdisciplinary Approach to Promote Creativity: Investigating Canadian Post-Secondary Design Education". The entire research investigation was summarized under one detailed infographic. The information collected was rich and diverse; therefore the goal was to highlight the main points from the survey, interviews, testing procedures, and secondary literature review. Although the graphic consists of three distinct parts: Interdisciplinarity, Creativity, and Methods Used to Promote Creativity, the objective was to emphasize the links between all mutually-dependent parts. To visually support all the information presented in the infographic, photographs of student work, exhibits, and work in-progress from testing procedures were used.
